UYBA Volley Busto Arsizio officially announced Juan Manuel Cichello as their new head coach, succeeding Julio Velasco. Cichello, previously Velasco’s assistant coach, was introduced to the team in his new role recently.
Cichello expressed his unwavering confidence in the team, citing his ongoing involvement since May and his commitment during the August break. He emphasized his belief in the team’s potential and the challenges ahead in the championship.
The Argentine coach was actively involved with the Serie A1 team and has played a crucial role in mentoring the youth teams, including coaching the Under-16 team, a responsibility he will continue.
Cichello’s coaching career began in 1995, starting with youth teams in Lanus and later River Plate. He led Argentine national youth teams to several continental victories and notable placements, including the 2007 Youth World Championship in Mexico and the 2008 Junior and Youth Continental Championships. His track record includes coaching roles in Spain, Iran, Qatar, and Italy.
