Brenda Castillo, the Volleyball player that has been causing fans to let out sighs whenever she was playing, will return to playing after being sidelined for several months due to pregnancy. She was even more sidelined from the national team – the whole year.
A 27-year-old libero is summoned by the head coach Marcos Kwiek to compete for the Dominican Republic in the Qualifying Tournament for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, in Uberlândia, Brazil (August 1-4) in which her national team will face the hosts, Cameroon and Azerbaijan.
After defending SESI Vôlei Bauru in the 2016/17 season, Castillo played in her home country the following season, despite receiving offers for renewal from her team in Brazil and from several clubs in Europe. Last season, she spent training with the Dominican Republic national team until she found out that she was pregnant.
