ROU W: Ex-Bulgarian NT receiver replaces Izquierdo in Alba as German player undergoes surgery

Alba Blaj Volei, a three-time consecutive Romanian Women’s volleyball Championship Divizia A1 feminin winners, made the last transfer for the 2017/18 season in.

A 30-year-old former Bulgarian National Team member Slavina Koleva joined Alba as the last-minute reinforcement, coming from the Philippine side Sta. Lucia Lady Realtors.

Koleva will replace the German prospect Lisa Izquierdo, who moved to Alba from Samsun BSB Anakent of Turkey, this summer, but whose ligaments got torn during the club’s preparations and will undergo surgery.

The coach of Alba, the Serbian Darko Zakoč, will have 13 players at his disposal for the 2017/18:
