The Malta Volleyball Association organised a 60 hour volleyball marathon in aid of a national Children’s Cancer support group.

Held at the Marsa Sports Complex. this is one of the most popular national charity sports events, which receives generous media coverage from local TV channels, radio stations and newspapers. The event also raises a considerable amount of money each year for the cause, and attracts many international sponsors as well as support from the Malta Sports Council.

This was the second year that the Malta Volleyball Association was invited to take part in this event. The significant increase in the number of volleyball teams has now prompted organisers to seek out more resources for future events and to sign a deal with the national federation for the next three years.
