FIVB sends condolences to South Africa sporting family

FIVB President, Dr. Ary S. Graça F° has sent his condolences to the National Volleyball Federation and the National Olympic Committee of South Africa following the death of Nelson Mandela.

On the eve of the CAVB Congress that is scheduled to begin in Kigali, Rwanda, Dr Graça paid tribute to the South African leader who passed away on Thursday following a prolonged illness saying, “His exemplary courage has made him one of the most remarkable persons of the last decades.”

South Africa is preparing to host the Durban Open from December 11 to 15, the final FIVB beach volleyball event of the 2013 season.
