FIVB President Dr. Ary S. Graça F° signed the agreement with Gerflor’s International Sport Floors Director, Pierre Lienhard on Friday at the FIVB’s headquarters in Lausanne.

The flooring company is the most recognised and enjoyed surface by top volleyball nations and is known by players and coaches for their global sport performance. Gerflor is also recognised for its emphasis on innovation and development, which guarantees athletes the most outstanding and safest surface to play on.

As the most widely used sports flooring surface in the world, Taraflex has been selected for nine consecutive Olympic Games from Montreal in 1976 to Beijing in 2008 for indoor surfaces like handball, volleyball, badminton and table tennis.

Gerflor was present at the 2012 Olympic Games in London for the 10th time in a row and was responsible for the manufacturing, delivery, installation, technical assistance and dismantling of the courts for all volleyball competitions. Ten courts were installed at the legendary Earl Courts arena, a Global Exhibition hall built in the 1940’s in London.
