Tours and Nice are set to compete for the prestigious trophy in the French Cup Finals, which are scheduled to take place on April 2 in Paris.
Tours emerged victorious in the first semifinal encounter, securing a 3-0 win (25-19, 26-24, 25-22) against Narbonne. The current leaders of Ligue A were favored to win, however, Narbonne put up a strong resistance, particularly in the second and third sets. Aboubacar Dramé Neto, who scored 16 points with a 67% attack rate, was the top scorer for the winning team. Meanwhile, Narbonne’s top scorers were Luca Vettori with 17 points and Wilner Rivas with 14 points.
Nice secured a thrilling victory in the second semifinal match, defeating Poitiers 3-2 (22-25, 25-21, 25-19, 17-25, 15-13). Luis Paolinetti of Nice contributed 20 points to the scoreline, while Wilian Doardo added 16. Gabriel Candido of Poitiers emerged as the match’s top scorer with 28 points.
