Final agreements were signed on Friday, when President Graça and FIVB 2nd Executive Vice President André Meyer were joined by chief architect Mrs Dupraz and representatives of the construction company in charge of the project.
The Exhibition Hall of Volleyball is to be built below ground on the premises of the FIVB’s headquarters in Lausanne and building work is expected to last about a year.
When it opens to the public, visitors to the Exhibition Hall of Volleyball will have access to displays highlighting the most memorable events in the history of volleyball and beach volleyball. Innovative and interactive technologies will be the key to providing visitors with a unique insight into the sport and bringing the game to a wider audience.
