After what was an amazing, epic match, Brazil ends up winning the game and going onto the Finals of the World Championship.

Brazil

Brazil

12-15 – BRAZIL IS IN THE FINALS OF THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP!

10-13 – With two quality defensive plays, France forced Bernardo Rezende to call a time-out.

8-13 – Nerves of the French team just couldn’t handle so much pressure. Mistake after mistake and Brazil can smell the finals.

8-11 – Lucarelli vs N’Gapeth 1 on 1, and the winner is Lucarelli! What a block. Can easily decide this game.

8-10 – Libero Grebennikov almost scored a fluke. Still Brazil holds the crucial lead right now.

7-8 – Huge spike from Wallace and we are changing sides with Brazil having the small lead.

6-6 – Marechal digs it and Earvin N’Gapeth finishes the counter attack!

2-4 – Great defence from Wallace ends up in a Murilo’s point.

2-2 – N’Gapeth attacks off the block after a long point!

TIE-BREAK

25-22 – We are going to a tie-break! France had to earn this so hard, but they deserve it. Amazing performance against such a strong opponent.

22-19 – Saatkamp blows the service out and it’s now so close to tie-break.

19-17 – Of course, another series. Now the France is rolling, can they force a tie-break? With how good N’Gapeth is playing, they can for sure.

15-16  What’s wrong with this set, teams are only playing in series. Now Brazil has the edge.

14-12 – First Wallace blew the service, then Kevin Le Roux smashed two hard ones as France is again leading by two points.

11-12 – And again Brazil found  the way out of the trouble. How? It’s that trademark defence of course, Murilo is always there, like he can predict into the future.

8-6 – France will not give up for sure. They are playing even stronger now. Jenia Grebennikov is just a beast in defence and is leading the game with 10 digs!

Brazil

Back in the lead

23-25 – Despite the strong service from N’Gapeth, Lucarelli spiked the ball hard into Sidibe’s hands and it went out. FranceBrazil 1-2!

21-23 – It’s the Lucas with the big block who breaks the tie. Huge chance for Brazil right now!

20-21 – The game is breaking down right now, who will have the nerves? Bruno and Wallace are back in action!

17-17 – It’s the middle guys that are doing work right now. Le Goff and Sidao with big big blocks.

15-16 – Brazil holds the smallest lead at the final break of the third set. Nothing can separate these two teams right now. We need somebody to step up and make the difference.

12-12 – It’s so tense right now, every point is a special battle. Coach Rezende just screamed so loud the whole arena must have heard it.

8-7 – Hard battle in this third maybe even deciding set so far. Sidibe is doing great job replacing Rouzier so far, as coach Tillie decided to change opposites during the second set and never swapped back.

Can't stop him

Can’t stop him

25-23 – Wallace puts the ball out and we have a tie!

23-21 – Brilliant touch from Kevin Tillie makes it France in the lead again.

20-19 – But when Fonteles is serving, any lead can be erased. Two aces in a row for a close game once again.

20-16 – Two brillian sequences from the great Earvin N’Gapeth and France is back in comfortable lead.

17-15 – Brazil is closing down this lead of France. Some great couple of defences and diagonal swap (BrunoWallace out, VissottoRaphael in), has taken them back into the game.

14-11 – 3-0 series in favour of Brazil so coach Tillie reacts with time-out right away.

14-8 – It’s getting hot here in Spodek Arena, Polish are clearly cheering for France (of course, because they think it’s the easier opponent) so with the way France is playing, they are also fired up by the crowd.

9-6 – Brazilian service just dropped in quality so France now holds the lead in the second set.

Brazil

Brazilian fans

18-25 – It’s all over in this first period, Brazil showed up strong and started the game firing from all weapons. Can France respond with some surprises? Lucarelli has just been amazing so far recording 5 spikes along with 3 blocks.

16-21 – After the first ace of France produced by Earvin N’Gapeth, Rezende called for his first time-out. It’s still a Brazil’s set to lose.

9-16 – Like they are from another World. Brazil is dominating this game on both ends of the court. Even in attack they are excelling with Wallace and Lucarelli leading the way.

6-12 – It’s just keeps getting better and better. Ball just can’t fall in Brazilian part of the court. Tillie had to ask for time-out.

4-8 – Brazil is giving the France the taste of their medicine. Defence of the guys in yellow is just impecable.

0-1 – What a start for Brazil, Lucarelli block was strong like hammer!
