Cignal celebrated
With Cignal on match point, Kristy Jaeckel and Kaylee Manns scored off the block to tie the fourth set at 24-all. Sarah Ammerman then scored from the opposite side as Jaeckel’s hit from the middle soared long to end the contest.
Lindsay Stalzer led the HD Spikers with 25 points.
The RC Cola-Philippine Air Force Raiders cruised past the Foton Tornadoes, 25-13, 25-20, 25-14, to notch their first win of the tournament. They found themselves on the driver’s seat for most of the match, even erecting a 13-1 score line to start the second set.
