Zoran Terzić, head coach of Omichka: “Today we played without two of our main players – Nancy Carrillo and Margarita Kurilo, therefore it was difficult. Volero is a strong rival, who vies for the highest places. Our game did not develop well at the beginning, then we managed to even the score, but, unfortunately, conceded in the fifth set. But we surely look forward because, on the one hand, the team was helped perfectly by our young players. Players such as Marina Babeshina and Iuliia Kutiukova can lead the game at the right moment.”
Courtney Thompson, captain of Volero: “The beginning was good and bright, largely due to good feed and concerted action at the net. Omichka proved to be a very strong team, which blocks well. Both teams have good defense. In the Champions League there are no weak opponents.”
