“Today’s seminar is a kind of exchange of view, dialogue”, President Wei said. “We didn’t invite any external experts to give you a lesson; we invited a lot of national federations to give you their experiences, how to run a national federation, how the national federations cooperate inside a zonal association etc.”
“After the last congress seminar, a lot of federations became active. Not only listened but put key points into action. A perfect example of this was the beach volleyball Continental Cup where more than 150 federations participated. I remember Mauritius qualified for the Games. This is a positive result of our seminar.”
“I sincerely hope after today’s seminar, all the national federations become more active with participation and organisation. We will work together to make FIVB stronger and stronger.”
The total number of participants in the seminar is 157 participants from 126 countries. There are a total of 144 category 1 and 11 federations.
The FIVB Congress Workshop is taking place on the eve of the three-day FIVB Congress which will be held from Wednesday to Friday.
The first FIVB Congress Workshop took place in Rome in 2010.
