President of Noliko Maaseik Mathi Raedschelders has revealed how much money one team earns in the CEV Champions league for the season 2016/2017.

In an interview for sporza.be, he talked about costs and prizes in the CEV volleyball Champions League.

Champions League is very interesting competition. It is very important for us. Also, it costs us a lot. I mean the teams that have no big budgets. We need to pay 40,000 euros to participate in the tournament plus we have to pay for Challenge system. The earnings for the victories and for the playoffs are interesting, but I think it’s impossible for us to reach it,” says Noliko Maaseik’s president.

Earnings of the temas in the volleyball Champions League, for the group stage:

– 4,000 euros per game for the win

– 2,600 euros per game for the defeat

– Money from the sponsors

– Ticket sales
