She is only 24 years old but this young woman is the captain of the women’s volleyball team in China. In her home country, she is a star and all of this she attributes it to her coach Jenny Lang Ping. In 2017, volleyball fans voted her as the best outside hitter.
She has led China to win the FIVB volleyball women’s club championship in the same year. Moreover, she has been ranked as one of the highest volleyball earning players with over 1.5 million dollars per season in her Turkish club.
2. Earvin Ngapeth (France).
The drama that comes along with this French player is undeniable. From having a car accident to his various incidents outside the court, maybe the numerous credits he has gotten are way in over his head. However, this young lad has led his club team Yavbou to numerous victories. He plays professionally for the Italian club Modena and in 2016 he led the team in winning the Italian Supercup.
3. Ding-Xhia (China).
When China won the 2017 FIVB Club champion, she was named as the best setter. She has had a spike of 305cm and a block of 300cm.
4. Simone Giannelli (Italy)
In 2016, when he was just 20 years, Simone Gianelli won silver for his country in the world Olympics. However the following year Italy failed to win the European championship. This did not deter him from wanting to put his country on the map again.
That same year, Italy defeated Brazil and the USA in the FIVB Grand Champions Cup. Gianelli and his team not only went home with silver awards but Simone Gianelli was also announced as the Best Setter of the championship.
As a professional athlete, he led his team Trentino to be first runners-up in the 2016-2017 Italian championship. This 22-year-old has made tremendous progress and he has a long way to go.
He is a player of the Cuban men national team. He debuted at a very young age of 17 years and lucky for him he was able to captain the team for five years. That is a big deal for just anyone. He later moved overseas to find a better living. From 2015-2016 he was the most expensive player sought in the Korean league. In 2016 he moved Brazil and led in winning the 2016-2017 Brazilian Superliga.
