After a close game start, PSM Voley got the first lead due to a blockage of Ivan Castellani (8-6), but suffered in reception ater Gaston Giani’s kick, to put UNTREF back in the set (13-13). PSM made a good job in serving and blocking (16-13), and despite the host’s comeback (16-17), they eventually claimed the first set 19-25.
Nicolás Méndez was as a starter in the second, and a great performance by the young receiver ledthe team to 8-5. Both teams stepped up their efforts in defense but hosts remained with minimal advantage (16-15). Then thay made a gap taking advantage of a series of opponents’s errors (20-17). UNTREF kept the difference till the end of the second set (25-20).
Parity in the third set lasted until the first technical time out, which came in 8-7. Afterwards UNTREF took the lead which they wouldn’t let and finished with 25-21.
Hosts had a furious start in the fourth, with huge individual performances and a great collective operation. UNTREF easily advanced to 8-2. With the same intensity and hunger for glory, the home sidecontinued the fourth set to take down PSM Voley 3:1.
