Sarmiento Santana won match in front of over 2,500 spectators. MVP of the match was Mariano Giustiniano with 20 points and he vas also top scorer of the match, while Diego Bonini with 10 was best in Boca – Río Uruguay. Next match will be played on Friday and winner will go to the semi-finals.
With a great crowd encouraging from the stands, the home team came into the game more concentrated than Boca. Sarmiento Santana came up 8:5 at the first time-out. At second time-out result was 16:13 for home team. Sarmiento Santana won the first set 25:19.
In the second set, with good play from Russo and Garcia, Boca took a slight lead. Sarmiento Santana quickly recovered and lead 8:7 at the first technical. After the break Sarmiento led 16:13. In the last segment Boca reacted and scored three times but it was not enough Sarmiento closed the set 25:19 in their favor.
Quite different from the first two Boca start better in the third set. But it was only at the start of the set. Boka went 8:4 at first time-out. But on the restart of the game Sarmiento improved the reception and went on 9:8, after scoring five points in a row. With a couple of good attacks Sarmiento led to the end of the match. Miguel Garcia made a mistake and gave the final point to Sarmiento. Sarmiento won the set 25:21, and the match 3:0
