Santiago Darraidou was the best scorer of the match with 30 points.
Boca Rio Uruguay Seguros started storng Sarmiento Santana Textiles using different lines of attack and made the lead 7-8. Then Textiles turned the score in their favour 16-15. Heroic defenses and balls left in the network made a real drama on the court keeping the score incredibly close. Darraidou’s counterattack closed the set 39-37.
In the second set, Boca made the lead again 5-8. Three consecutive blocks made by the “Xeneize” equalized the shares, and point to point the score came to 16-15. Boca Rio closed the set, after opponents error at 25-23.
Third set was easily claimed by Santana, after quckly gaining the lead of 5-16. It was expected for Textiles to close this set which it at 25-14.
Boca tried to hide their inaccuracies by reconstruction of the play but it didn’t work out for long. The set was full of turnovers, and the final stretch came after two counterattacks at 25-22 and gave Sarmiento Santana Textiles access to semifinals for the first time in its history.
