From France to Turkey, from Turkey to Italy. Seemed to be the last step, but suddenly a plane put him from Italy to Argentina. After terminating his contract with Montpellier, Ivan Castellani went to Istanbul since the French club didn’t manage his rehabilitation well, as he explained after his exit.

The recovery was made in the Turkish capital city with his father Daniel aside. Finally, in January he signed a contract with Molfetta, coached by Argentine Juan Manuel Cichello, trying to get back to the courts.

With the Italian squad, the opposite hitter only played one game. It was in the second date of the second leg of the A1 league, held on January 18th. He took part in the defeat against Citta di Castello Altotevere that ended 3-0 with partials of 25-22, 25-17 and 25-16. Former Puerto San Martin player participated in the last two sets and failed to score points.

After that, Castellani decided to fly to Argentina in order to repeat the knee surgery. There’s no date confirmed for the intervention because it’s still unknown what exactly the problem is.

Doctors couldn’t see it in the resonance, but there’s something making my knee swells” said for Volleystars the Argentina’s National Team player. “I have to face it, I don’t have nothing else to do”.
