Brazil and the host team of Peru that will play later on the Gold Medal also qualified for next year’s engagement.
Argentina was defeated at this tournament only by the two teams that qualified yesterday, Saturday winning their semi-final matches, Brazil (title holder) and Peru (host team). The team coached by Guillermo Caceres in previous matches reached tie-breaks against Brazil in a friendly tour.
Peru faced Argentina at Semi-Finas, in the first match of this Saturday and after losing the first two sets Argentina found its momentum to level the match and force a tie-break won by the host team in front of over 3,000 local fans (the seventh player in the field, Miguel Grau Coliseum) therefore Argentina had to wait today’s chance to qualify for the World engagement.
Today without any doubt the light blue – white girls stepped onto the field to win and the goal was achieved quite easily. Argentina was present at the Youth’s Girls World Championship in Turkey 2011.
Now the 2013 edition will take place in the city of Nakhonratchasima, Thailand, city that already hold women grass-root championships.
