“It was a very high-level course and the participants had a great deal of experience,” said Lopez. “The experienced lecturers taught us with the same love that they approach volleyball. I also greatly appreciated their openness in answering our questions, both in and outside class time,” he added.
Gigante said: “The evaluation was very positive. The class was full of high-level coaches and we all gained knowledge and experience that was very useful. The instructors Gustavo Meczyk and Aurelio Ureña Espa are outstanding teachers.” Speaking about the instructors, Gigante said: “They spoke and taught clearly, directly and easily.”
Both men praised the material taught in the course, the work done in the groups, the organisation of the course and the balance struck between theory and practice. “All that we learned in the hall we experimented with at the gym,” said Gigante. “It is not often that we can put into practice what we learn in theory. At the course, all knowledge and experience was shared and that is why the course was of such high quality.“
The CDRV has been key to developing many areas of Argentine Volleyball, including indoor volleyball, since its creation. One example is the Argentine Senior A1 Men’s League, where many coaches train and lecture at the CDRV in addition to coaching teams for the 2012/13 season.
