Lucao was the top scorer with 17 points, Paulo Victor was the best player and got the Viva Volei trophy.
“It’s very important to keep the lead, especially playing against a team as good as Canoas. I’m very happy that I helped the team to turn around that third set, it was very important for our team. It is very difficult to play behind on the scoreboard, but we managed, on time, to keep the balance to turn the set” Paulo Victor said.
Lucao also commented: “We played behind on the scoreboard and showed power and great reaction, especially at the end of the set, when we were well behind on the scoreboard. I think that is the difference of our team, even when we don’t play well, we can look at the end” Lucao said.
Gustavo commented from Canoas‘ point of view: “The game was balanced, but in the final moments in the last two or three points, we could not close. In the last two sets we were in front, but could not win. We must finish the sets better” Gustavo said.
RJX meets Super Imperatriz Volei, Canoas plays against UFJF in the next round.
