Bernardo Rezende has given an interesting statement for Brazilian media after the defeat in the final of the World Championship 2014.

“First off all, congratulations to Poland. We lost this game because they were better and because they played smarter than us. But there were so many ugly things at this tournament… So many low blows…” stated Rezende for SportTV.

Experienced coach also said that his team “was unprotected” at the World Championship and once again stated that FIVB had some unacceptable decisions, like putting a reporter, who is “the greatest opponent of the Brazilian volleyball”, right behind his team’s bench.

What will be a reaction of FIVB this time?

It was a shame that the FIVB made with Brazil. I think the game should be won on the court, not backstage. Worst World Cup ever. Congratulations to the excellent team of Poland and the incredible crowd! I hope that the Women’s Championship and this chaos is not cheating!

Yep, it was the worst tournament in history of sport. The best tournament took place in Italy four years ago. There was a match between Brazil and Bulgaria which was one of the greatest shows ever. The new formula of WCH should be very simple. It should be only one final play with Brazilian and Russian team in it. I want to add that those teams should play like that every single WCH. It will be the prettiest solution for our problems with that ridiculous formula of the championships.

don’t point a finger to criticized some one when you loss, Mr. Rezende please watch the video, first set you play well but 2nd to 4th set your players didn’t play well. and please first you have to teach your coaching stuff a well manners, not to go to referee’s desk to check on their own the video it was showed and see that your player sidao touch the ball on his middle finger. please be professional before people love brazilians but now you are all started to be arrogant, you can win alot of titles and can make history but the most important title is to win the hearts of people not only brazilian people but the people all over the world.

Not sure what he’s complaining about. The fact that Poland stayed in Lodz for 2 rounds was known couple of months before the competition started. Brazilians had to move because the draw put them in the same pool as Poland. That’s it no set up, pure randomness. They were lucky anyway coz they only moved once. Poland played in 4 different places. On the other hand Germans were stuck in one place from the beginning to the end of the competition. Luck.
Brazil was good but Poland was better. Brazil lost to games and both against Poland. And the comments about bad organization. Entire world dreams to have the same vball fever as Poland has. They dream about fans like Polish ones, about packed venues, about technology. Don’t tell me this is bad organization!
