In December 2014, the Bank suspended the agreement with the CBV for the first time and resumed it in January, but with some clauses calling for more transparency and accountability in the use of sponsorship funds by the Confederation. The CBV has offered to meet all within a period of 90 days. Still, according to the Bank, it did not happen.

The official note from the „Bank of Brazil“ on the suspension of the sponsorship is not final and may be revoked as soon as the CBV fulfills its obligations.

Recall, the contract between the Bank and CBV for the five-year period between 2012 and 2017 was the subject of research of the Comptroller General in 2014.

He pointed out irregularities in payments from the CBV between 2010 and 2013 with funds from the state bank sponsorship.

The CBV did not comment on this matter yet.

… and you know why nothing is going to happen and somehow they will accomodate the situation? Because it means to file a lawsuit againgt Mr. Ary Graça and take him, his associates and family members to the court. Nodoby is going to do that because everybody knows that will mean retaliation against the brazilian national team. It’s such a shame!
