According to Bruno Voloch, the Brazilian Volleyball Federation wants to keep the same format of competition and to hold the season Finals in April 2018.
However, the clubs do not agree with that. They do not want to play just a single game in the Playoffs Finals anymore, so their proposal is to change it to Best of 3 format. With that change the 2017/18 season in Brazil would end in May, but that apparently does not suit the TV rights holder Globo.
We are about to see whether the clubs and the federation will finally reach some agreement.
