In the first days of the summer transfer window, Sesi renewed with the coach Roberley Leonaldo „Rubinho“.

The top division newcomers Vôlei UM Itapetininga (claimed No.2 at the end of Division 2 /Superliga B/) made four arrivals official: the middle blocker Wennder Carlos (whose last season’s club Copel/Telecom/Maringá was relegated to Division 2), libero Filipe Stolberg (played for Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas, Itapetininga’s rival in the 2017/18), outside hitter Rogério Nogueira „Mineiro“ (Corinthians-Guarulhos), and setter Pedro Teles (Lebes Canoas).
