ECH U20 M: Russia captain Abaev named MVP and takes his place in Dream Team

The European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) announced the Most Valuable Player and Dream Team of the 2018 Men’s U20 Volleyball Championship in Belgium and The Netherlands.

Russia captain Konstantin Abaev was named MVP of the 2018 CEV U20 European Championship in which his team clinched the gold medal. A product of Lokomotiv Novosibirsk volleyball school (will play in France next season) also found himself in the Dream Team.

Setter: Konstantin Abaev (RUS)

Opposite hitter: Marek Šotola (CZE)

Outside hitter 1: Matthieu Vanneste (BEL)

Outside hitter 2: Bennie Tuinstra (NED)

Middle blocker 1:  Sjors Tijhuis (NED)

Middle blocker 2:  Josef Polák (CZE)

Libero: Tim Verstraete (BEL).
