He was elected to this position after controversial voting by winning 9 against 8 votes in the meeting of the Board of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation in Plovdiv.

Seferinov is a longtime volleyball activist, former player of the national team and current coach of Women’s team Slavia Sofia.

Interestingly, Vladimir Nikolov, the former captain of the senior national team of Bulgaria, got his first coaching job. He will be at helm of the Youth National Team (U20).

Nikolov will lead Bulgaria’s U20 NT at the 2016 CEV European Championship in Plovdiv, in September.
