RC Cannes
This is a much anticipated clash as RC CANNES finished last year’s campaign in Europe’s most elitist competition in second place while the players of Rabita have swept all of their matches in prelim Pool B. The great record registered so far by BAKU does nevertheless not frighten the home heroines from the French Riviera who sound confident about their chances to advance to the Playoffs 6 and possibly also to the final four scheduled for March 9-10 in Istanbul.
It will be a very special Volleyball night for Alexandra Fomina, the Ukrainian-born libero of Rabita, who spent the past 11 years in Cannes and will be returning to the “Palais des Victoires” standing this time on the other side of the net.
