“We have searched somebody who matches to us and who follows the same philosophy. That involves especially attention to the youth empowerment”, says manager André Wehnert. With Jorge Munari is the perfect candidate found: “I’m very happy because the Roten Raben are one of the best clubs of Germany. In my view even the best”, explained the Argentinian who is looking forward to his new assignment: ”It is a great chance for me as trainer and I’m highly motivated to reach much”.

The forty-six-year-old guided at last the second division team VV Grimma and won with it two times the championship. However, Grimma renounced the ascent in the first division. The previous clubs of Munari were at first Boca Juniors Buenos Aires and then the Club de Amigos in his homeland. With this team, he became the Argentinian champion 2006. During his time in Argentina, he guided also juniors- and youth- national teams. 2006 he went to Spain to Miranda de Ebro and Alcobendas. 2009 he went the Spanish champion.

Afterwards, he searched a new challenge and went because of his contact with Guillermo Gallardo to Vilsbiburg where he assumed the second women team. From the beginning, he harmonised with the young team and led it to the fifth place in the final table. “I have only good memories to my time in Lower Bavaria and I’m looking forward to stay here the next two years”, said Munari who moves with his wife to Vilsbiburg.

André Wehnert is looking forward cooperation: “We talk the same language which concerns the athletically concept. And already during his time at the Roten Raben II, he left behind a positive impression.” At that time, he began to learn German. After now three years, he speaks almost fluently. Beside English and Italian, it is his third foreign language. As Wehnert, there are still more reasons for the South American: “Exactly like the Roten Raben is Jorge out to succeed and because of his South American atmosphere, there is also the communication to hold several of our key players.”

Starting august, Jorge Munari will move to Vilsbiburg to get started with full power at the beginning of the training.
