In order to attain this goal the club recently unveiled its fully re-designed website that features more info, sections, videos, as well as insights from the backstage, behind the scenes of the Volleyball court.
DRESDNER SC has been working for four months with a professional and specialized agency, A.F.B. media GmbH, in order to develop this innovative tool that was completed and presented right in due time for the first home match of the season that was played this past October 20.
It is not just about the layout since the contents of the website have been also re-organized right from the scratch. The key is the implementation of a free-to-use open source publishing system which makes it more simple and flexible to update the website and to eventually incorporate additional info or sections. This way DRESDNER SC will be able to work also on a long-term perspective and independently from any external partner.
“We have devoted a lot of energy to this project” says Managing Director Sandra Zimmermann. “However, we will be paid back very soon. The flexibility and independence we have attained via this tool represent a major development for us. We are also happy for having a professional partner at our side”.
Multimedia is another feature of the website, since more photos, audio and video content will be made available to the fans and the media. Some sections of the revised website are still to be completed and this resource will continue to grow, as the addition of a video and picture gallery is planned for the future. Some other tools are still to be fine-tuned as the production of a video takes many hours and the staff is busy also in feeding the usual and ordinary content.
“We have been working out websites for sports clubs for the past 20 years and the early stages are always very stressful” says Holger Schulze who coordinated the project. “However, once you get a certain routine and you define tasks and responsibilities, there are no more issues and everything runs smoothly”.
In the meantime DRESDNER SC does not stop working also on its Facebook page which has turned into a regular and extremely important platform to communicate and interact with the fans. The website will add some more value to this interaction and stimulate the supporters to join the development of the club.
