YnK Sports young charismatic Opposite Hitter Anthi Vasilantonaki decided to renew her contract and stay in Greece for one more year despite the proposals from US universities, clubs in Italy, France and Turkey.

Anthi explained the reasons that led her to sign the extension of her contract with Panathinaikos:

I am very happy we renewed our contract. I chose Panathinaikos because the previous year they trusted and helped me to develop and improved as player.

Panathinaikos is a club with big history and many championships won. I want to help the team and hope we will get back up to the top. The proposals from US universities and European clubs honor me but I decided first to finish in my school in Greece, stay in good shape and healthy and when the times comes I will decide what I will do next year.

Congratulations Anthi!!!

We wish you all the best with Panathinaikos in the Greek championship and good luck with the Greek national team in FIVB Girls’ Under 18 World Championship in Thailand.
