Too many mistakes on the serve and in reception for the guests, while Zlatanov and co gave their 4000 fans a good show for their last home game of the season. It’s now all down to one last encounter in TRENTINO. The winner of game 5 will be the Italian champion 2013.
Luca Monti (Copra Elior PIACENZA): “This has been an excellent team performance. Zlatanov did a great job of maintaining a high level in reception while Marra was exemplary. This time, setter De Cecco was put in the best possible conditions to carry out his duty, but the others have been exceptional too. It’s true the serve was key, but the rest went well too. We really wanted this result in front of our supporters and we did everything possible to get it. It will be a kind of V-Day in TRENTO, but it will be more difficult. One thing’s for sure, we will give everything we have on every single point”.
Radostin Stoytchev (coach Itas Diatec TRENTINO): “We have not been as aggressive as we should have been for such an important game, and the most obvious proof of what I am saying can be found in the poor effectiveness we had in the break points, especially in the first set. PIACENZA played as we could expect but they had an incredible Zlatanov who we basically could not stop at the net. Their serve made it hard for us too but we were prepared for that. Shame we did not take this first opportunity but more than the result my biggest disappointment comes from the way we lost it. We have to get back on our feet during the coming week, we have an important period ahead to work and understand our mistakes. We can’t afford to be afraid, we only need a strong will to win”.
