In view of the information of Turkish media that Fenerbahçe Opet İstanbul and Eczacıbaşı VitrA İstanbul asked the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) to postpone their 2020 Champions League matches against Igor Gorgonzola Novara and Savino Del Bene Scandicci, both Italian clubs issued an official statement and denied that they received such requests.

Both Novara and Scandicci stated that no request for postponement, moving the matches to other countries, cancellation, or change of the venues has come to their addresses either from their Turkish rivals or the CEV. Italian clubs even stressed that they are in daily contact with opponents regarding the organization of these matches.
