WithU Verona clinched their seventh consecutive victory in the Regular Season of SuperLega Credem Banca after defeating Top Volley Cisterna. The match was held at Pala AGSM AIM, where nearly 4000 fans witnessed a closely fought battle between the two sides.
Despite Top Volley Cisterna best efforts to secure a spot in the Play Off area, WithU Verona emerged victorious with a 3-1 (25-22, 25-20, 21-25, 25-20) win.
Rok Mozic was awarded the Most Valuable Player title for his remarkable display on the court, but Sapozhkov stole the show with 22 points to his name. With a 66% success rate in attack, WithU Verona proved to be a force to be reckoned with, leaving little room for their opponents to make a comeback.
Efforts from Petar Dirlic and Marko Sedlacek for Top Volley Cisterna should also be mentioned, as Dirlic scored 15 and Sedlacek 13 points to their team’s total score. However, it wasn’t enough to stop WithU Verona from confirming the 5th place in the standings and eliminating Top Volley Cisterna from the playoff race.
