In the first match of the Serie A1 Playoff Semifinals, coach Santarelli’s Imoco Conegliano continued their impressive season by defeating Igor Gorgonzola Novara with a convincing 3-0 victory at the Palaverde in Villorba. Novara, coached by Lorenzo Bernardi, struggled throughout the match, failing to pose a serious threat and not scoring more than 20 points in any set, with the final scores of the first two sets being 19 and 12, respectively.
Caterina Bosetti stood out for Novara with a commendable 13 points and a 50% attack success rate. On the other side, the defending Italian champions, Imoco Conegliano, showcased an exceptional performance, led by MVP Wolosz. The Conegliano attack was highly efficient, with Haak scoring 18 points (59% efficiency), Plummer 14 points (56%), and Robinson-Cook 11 points (69%).
The second game of the series is scheduled for Wednesday, April 10th, at Pala Igor. Additionally, the Allianz Vero Volley Milano will face Savino Del Bene Scandicci in the second match of their series.
