Famous Italian volleyball powerhouse based in Cuneo will not play in the Serie A after 25 consecutive seasons. Champions from 2010 just stayed without options, President Valter Lannutti has resigned, and there was no one to continue the project…
“My cycle ends here. I will sell my shares from the club” said Lannutti at the end of the last season, but there were no buyers.
There was an option that club will be moved to Turin and that Fiat will become the main sponsor. Fans were against that… At the end there was no deal.
What will happen now? Well, club will stay without the senior team, all players will leave, and there will only be a Youth sector.
Italian volleyball stayed without one more giant.
