They say that if you want to be a great champion, you need to have a big heart. By that criterion, Filippo Lanza is definitely one of the greatest.

Filippo Lanza, the outside hitter/receiver of Diatec Trentino and Italy’s National Team, dedicated victory against Calzedonia Verona, three days ago, to a young girl and also a volleyball player.

“With this dedication, I personally encourage you not to give up and to fight because, as we learned in that game we played in Verona, even the most difficult situation can be solved by continuing to believe and fight until the end. Come on Elisa!” said the captain of Trentino and MVP of the game.

Elisa is a young volleyball player of the low ranked San Giuseppe Volley Rovereto which unfortunately has recently been found to have a severe illness.
