Taubaté and Canoas came to duel in opposite situations. Taubaté, the hosts, came from six consecutive victories. Canoas had lost the last two games. But it wasn’t visible in the clash as the visitors stunned the favorites and won the match 3-2 (25-21, 18-25, 33-31, 19-25, 15-9).
Leonardo Caldeira had his little show. He scored 28 points for the winning team. Leonardo Alves scored 21 in Taubaté.
With the defeat, Taubaté left the leadership of the Superliga to Sada Cruzeiro Vôlei.
The champions also played a tiebreaker and had to invest an extra dose of emotions and suffering against Vôlei Brasil Kirin 3-2, partially 26-28, 25-22, 24-26, 25-18, 15-12.
The 20 points from Lucas Lóh weren’t enough for Kirin to achieve sixth win as Cuban Yoandy Leal had same amount of points on his account on the other side.
