i think it’s because he already has Egonu who doesn’t defend very much , can’t play toghether with Diouf , at least against Asian teams , he needed receivers , that’s why.
He is crazy. This team is old and weak. Not Italian team it used to be. Becareful because they might miss rio.
Centoni is short and she is often blocked although she makes brave attacks and can kill some balls at difficult situations.i think diouf would be wiser choice
Diouf was regularly and systematically targeted successfully at both European Championship and the Olympic tournament , the setters could not play clean , this was a problem against Russia and the Nederlands especially.
Centoni might be not very tall compared to Diouf but is tall enough against the Asian teams, anyway there’s Egonu for high attacks
During the 2015-2016 season, Diouf’s efficiency in attack was only 34%, while Ortolani and Centoni were at about 40%.
Diouf is too slow in defense. Centoni and Ortolani are way better choices.
