ITA M: Modena blew 2-1 lead, Lube win first battle in semis!

The reigning champions Azimut Modena didn't manage to take the win in the first semifinal clash of the Italian Serie A1, even though they had 2-1 lead after three sets...

Lube have opened match much better, scoring some good points and providing a lot of joy for their fans. But, in another two sets, reigning champions raised to tie the score and afterwards to take the lead. 

It was a shocking moment for the first placed team in regular season. But they didn’t lose a hope. They started playing like in the first set, which was enough to tie the score against Modena.

In the tie-break, Modena were trailing all the time, while the home team controlled the situation on the court and that led them to the first win in the semifinals. 

The top scorer of the game was Earvin Ngapeth, who had an amazing display, scoring 31 points. But, since they didn’t achieve the goal, he has to forget this performance as soon as possible and to look forward to next meeting of theset two teams.

In home team, Tsvetan Sokolov had 17 points, while Osmany Juantorena added 12 and Davide Candellaro 11.
