Referees turn blind eye to sudden disappearance of Monza’s point from scoreboard, coach Falasca in disbelief! (VIDEO)

Last night, a huge oversight occurred in one game in an Italian Men’s Volleyball Championship Serie A1

These things are unforgivable for such a high level of competition like Serie A1. Namely, during a game of Round 4 between Gi Group Monza and Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia, one point simply disappeared from a scoreboard and has not been returned until the end of an encounter! Of course, the referees are to be blamed for this.

At 1-1 in sets, and 15-12 for Monza in the third set, Vibo won the point after the video check. So, it was 15-13. But, the scoreboard showed 14-13 instead, which means that one point has been stolen from Monza. But, there was no reaction from anyone yet. Vibo took the next two points after which the scoreboard showed 14-15 instead of 15-15. Monza coach Miguel Ángel Falasca called a time-out after which he finally noticed that his team missed one point. The Spanish expert complained to the second referee who, believe it or not, checked the score with Vibo’s statistician instead of with the official game statistician!? Of course, the referee got the answer that it was 14-15.

This mistake from the game statistician and referees certainly helped Vibo win the third set. The visitors then took the fourth set as well and won the match!
