The opposite of Sir Safety Perugia, Aleksandar Atanasijevic might renew the contract with the club for another two more seasons.

The president of the club Gino Sirci told that information to the local media:

We are well placed now. We are now in negotiation about details and he feels fine in Perugia and we with him. I think that we would renew his contract for another two years” said Sirci who than was asked about the status of Ivan Zaytsev:

He must decide. In my opinion, he can play very well in this role, which he demonstrated in Ravenna. We are waiting for him and see what he decided. I think he is looking around to play as an opposite. But it is clear that we also do the same. Here he is fine and everyone loves him, the same situation was in Macerata and then he went to Russia. Let’s see.”

Another two years of choking? God help Perugia. 🙁
They have a world class opposite on their hands but they are burying him as an irrelevant outside hitter who can not spike and not receive great anymore. Jeez. 🙁

Re: @Bax Is that why he has no gold medal on his neck yet until recently? He is the definition of a choke artist. Watch Euro championship and say he did not choke. 0/3 in the final set against Germany. Choke is going to choke again when it matters the most. It’s what he do best. 😀

Re: @Xu Yluin Maxim Mikhailov? Wallace? Evandro? Tsvetan Sokolov? Ivan Zaytsev? Matt Anderson? And countless opposites that never chokes like he does? Honey may I remind you the moment PGE Skra let go of Atanasijevic after failing to qualify for the semifinal in Plusliga…PGE Skra won the championship? 😀

Zaytsev is the 12th best receiver in the league! While Russell is only 47th and Berger is not even on Top 50.

Next year Sokolov out for Ivan in macerata and Leon or Leal to Perugia, dont need more. just hire someone like pippo lanza for good passing and the game is on. But i agree Atanasijevic is overrated.

Leon signed in Perugia for 800 000e.Is Atanasijevic better than Mihajlov or Zaycev(as oposite)? For sure no,check last Olympics and Eurovoley.Setter in Perugia making him a star.

Re: @former_player Sokolov was left out of the roster twice because of an injury. (Vibo Valentia and BCC Nep Castellana) Ivan plays receiver in Perugia which makes hitting harder. Please check your facts.

And De Cecco always sets to Atanasinevic. But still doesn’t change the fact he chokes in important matches. lmao
Do you want me to remind you the many matches he choked in? 🙁
