ITA W: Novara for the third time in short period outplayed Imoco Volley

In the derby of the 21st round in the Italian Serie A1, Igor Gorgonzola Novara once again defeated Imoco Volley.

After wins in the Italian Cup final and in the last match of the round stage in the CEV Champions League, Igor Gorgonzola Novarnow defeated Imoco Volley Conegliano in the championship but stayed in the second place with two points less than the opponents.

Tonight in the new derby, Novara celebrated victory in the tie-break although they led 2-0 in the sets (25-21, 25-22, 19-25, 16-25, 15-11).

Interesting, Novara dominated in the block (13 blocks; opponents 4) while Imoco Volley dominated in the service (12 aces; opponents 2).

Paola Egonu was the main scorer of the winning team with 30 points followed by Celeste Plak 14 points and Cristina Chirichella 13 points.

In the home team, Samanta Fabris scored 31 points while Kimberly Hill and Samantha Bricio Ramos 13 points each.
