ITA M: Zaytsev – „Being a father is revelation for me”

„I opened my eyes to a world that I was unaware of. Now, I fully understand the meaning of the words responsibility, love, and sacrifice,“ The „Zar“ explained in an interview to Red Bull on a Father’s Day (March 19) in what ways fatherhood changed his life.

“All the credit goes to Ashling. I was lucky to have met a woman who was able to enter the depths of my soul. Love has improved me as a man, but has also improved my sporting career,” Zaytsev spoke about his wife Ashling Sirocchi, who gave birth to a daughter Sienna in January. Zaytsev and Ashling also have a son Sasha.

“Being a father is a revelation for me because children grow and their needs change constantly, but with them, I have also found great stability. Certain things that I did before I am not able to do anymore, but I really do not feel the need to do them. I’m very interested in things of which I actually did not have a clue earlier, and thanks to my family I now understand,” Sir Safety Conad Perugia outside hitter stated.
