Copra Elior Piacenza proved stronger than Andreoli Latina in three sets in the match that was worth of staying high in the rankings. A race decided by a few breaks, with both teams have limited their errors (6 for Latina and 5 for Piacenza). But it was the 16 blocks of Copra Elior to make a difference against only 3 of Andreoli.
Silvano Prandi (coach Andreoli Latina): “We were not able to find our continuity, Piacenza did. Simon was an extraterrestrial, we knew this, they have all played a great game as a team, as well as individuals. Now we turn the page and think about what we can learn from this game. Thank you for the lesson.“
Luciano De Cecco (Copra Elior Piacenza): “We played a good game, the best in the league this season. Now we have to play well on Sunday with Verona, a game that may decide whether or not we will be in the top four, this would mean play the quarterfinals of the Italian Cup at home on December 26.“
