The team coached by Oscar Licea, started to prepare for the FIVB age World Championship to be played from June 27 to July 7 in Tijuana and Mexicali, Mexico.
“This is a great opportunity and we will try to get the best out of it,” Licea said. “We have worked hard in every training session in Baja and also have achieved some goals in our preparation at the international stage.”
Licea is assisted by Eduardo Murguia. Jorge Romero, the head coach of the Baja California U-14 team that won the Southern California Championship in Anaheim, USA, works as statistician while Liliana Ibarra is the athletic therapist.
The U-19 roster consists of Luis Bojórquez, Alan Martínez, Alexis Garay, Iván Molano, Geiser Mejía, Sebastian Castro, Mauricio López, Leobardo Luna, Christian Aranda, Ariel Acosta, Enrique Ugalde, and Francisco Forte.
