The second seed Obras survived a huge fight in Game 4 that lasted more than two and a half hours against the top seed Bolívar to tie the playoff final series at 2-2. The San Juan team prevailed in the tie-break, partially 21-25, 25-23, 27-25, 18-25 and 15-12. Thus, Obras postponed the announcement of the 2018/19 Liga de Vóleibol Argentina winners until the next Friday (April 26) when a decisive championship encounter will take place.
The Cuban opposite hitter Jesús Herrera was the best scorer for Obras with 23 points (three aces and three kill blocks). The middle blocker Rodrigo Aschemacher made 82% attack (9/11, blocked once). Another Cuban player stood out today – Yadrian Escobar from Bolívar who poured in 25 points. Bolívar captain Pablo Crer set up five kill blocks while Jan Martínez made 86% positive reception (29 total, one error, 59% perfect).
