The U.S. Men’s national team head coach John Speraw revealed the 14-player roster to compete in the FIVB Volleyball International Qualifier for the 2020 Olympic Games (August 9-11).

The U.S. national team will play Pool B in Rotterdam against the hosts – the Netherlands, Belgium and South Korea. The North American side is the clear favorite in the pool and will open their campaign tomorrow at 19:00 C.E.T. versus Belgium.

Since there is only one libero on the roster, Speraw will have to register one more player on this position prior to each match. He took 3 players whose designated position is the setter, but one of them can also play as an outside hitter – Micah Ma’a.

The United States national team roster:

Matt Anderson (Opp), Aaron Russell (OH), Taylor Sander (OH), Jeff Jendryk (MB), Mitch Stahl (MB), Kawika Shoji (S), Micah Christenson (S), Max Holt (MB), Ben Patch (Opp), Micah Ma’a (S), Thomas Jaeschke (OH), Garrett Muagututia (OH), David Smith (MB), Erik Shoji (L).
