The 24-year-old opposite hitter Mlakar, a member of the Slovenia National Team, reached the surprising decision to end her volleyball career and dedicate herself to studying medicine.

She spent most of her career in Nova KBM Branik, to which she came in 2012 and won altogether 11 titles: 5 national championships, 4 national cups, and 2 Middle European Leagues (MEVZA). Mlakar moved to the Italian Championship, a year ago, to defend the colors of European club champions, Igor Gorgonzola Novara.

She has worn the jersey of the Slovenia National Team since the age of 17, which was in 2013.
