The last, third round of the Final Six (newly formed Pool F) of the 2020/21 Chinese Women’s Super League regular season has been completed and the top four, i.e. the playoff semifinalists, is determined. Actually, three teams secured the semifinal berth in previous round and these are Tianjin, Jiangsu, and Shanghai.
Guangdong caught the last train to the playoffs. Thanks to American Kelsey Robinson (31 points, 88 % reception /88 % perfect/) and Bulgarian Dobriana Rabadzhieva (4 blocks), Guangdong beat Shanghai in the tie-break and settled at the No.4. Thus, a straight-set win of Shandong (Du Qingqing 25 points, Zhang Qian 5 blocks, Song Liqi 83 % reception /83 % perfect/) over Liaoning was in vain as they remained out of the top four.
